On the afternoon of February 17th, the Tianjin (Singapore) Investment Environment Promotion Congress, hosted by the Tianjin Municipal People's Government, was successfully held in Singapore. Vice Mayor Zhu Peng of Tianjin, Chinese Ambassador to Singapore Sun Haiyan, and Senior Minister of State Affairs of the Singapore Ministry of National Development Shen Ying jointly attended.

This promotion event has invited over a hundred institutions and enterprises, including China Merchants Association and Singapore China General Chamber of Commerce, as well as financial institutions such as DBS Bank and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Singapore Branch, as well as Keppel Corporation, Yihai Kerry, ADM, and others. At the promotion meeting, Yin Jihui, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, introduced that Tianjin is currently accelerating the growth of three advantageous industries with a scale of around 500 billion yuan, namely Intelligence technology, green petrochemical, and equipment manufacturing. Accelerating the cultivation of three strategic emerging industries, namely bio-medicine, new energy, and new materials, is a key direction for Tianjin's industry to move towards high-end development. Tianjin has launched the implementation of the high-quality development action for the manufacturing industry, and is about to introduce a new round of comprehensive policies for the establishment of the manufacturing industry. Yin Jihui also introduced the grand occasion of Tianjin successfully hosting six WIC. In 2017, Tianjin seized the wave of artificial intelligence development and took the lead in carrying the banner of Intelligence technology in China. Together with eight national ministries, it held the WIC, which received widespread global attention. The sixth Congress attracted international guests from 57 countries and regions such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Japan. Japan, Singapore, and the United Kingdom have successively become the guest of honor of the Congress.
