RoboCup Asia-Pacific Tianjin Invitational Tournament (RCAP) is an international academic organization that integrates robots and artificial intelligence and covers education, research and industry. It is the robot event with most influence, highest academic level, and largest scale in the Asia-Pacific region. Each year, multiple RCAP events of different levels are held in different regions of Asia-Pacific region, and the annual finals are held in the fall and winter each year. The RoboCup Asia-Pacific (RCAP) Council, authorized by the RoboCup International Council, is the highest body responsible for the organization and coordination of RoboCup events in the Asia-Pacific region. The Asia-Pacific region covers more than 50 countries in Asia and Oceania. The RCAP Council was founded by China, Singapore, Australia, Japan, Thailand, Iran and Russia. The Council is headquartered in Singapore and its chairman is Professor Zhou Changjiu from Singapore.
RCAP CoSpace has two sub competitions: RCAP CoSpace Intelligent Driving and RCAP CoSpace Intelligent Search and Rescue. RCAP CoSpace Intelligent Driving is the official event of RCAP. Through the integration of online and offline intelligent driving scenes, it provides students with opportunities for robot creation, programming and challenge, so as to improve their core AI quality and train their ability to solve problems through robot and AI knowledge. In RCAP CoSpace Intelligent Search and Rescue, participating teams need to use their own strategies to enable their real and virtual robots to independently cruise, avoid obstacles, identify areas, and search and collect treasures in specified scenes. The team with highest points at the end will be the winner. RCAP CoSpace Intelligent Search and Rescue is known as Youth AI Algorithm Olympics.
As a new event of this year, Enterprise Challenge has become a new highlight of this RCAP CoSpace competition. It includes two sub competitions: Intelligent Service Robot Application and Industrial Robot System Integration. The two competitions mainly assess the programming and debugging ability of competitors for industrial robots, intelligent mobile robots, programmable controllers, industrial vision, machine vision and other control equipment, and the joint debugging ability of robot integration systems. They also focus on the ability of competitors in the Internet and data archiving and processing and their innovation ability. Enterprise Challenge is an effective combination of artificial intelligence and professional quality.
