On June 24, the 6th World Intelligence Congress 4th International Intelligent Sports Conference was grandly opened at the Tianjin National Games Press Center. Comrades in charge and representatives from Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Sports, Office of Tianjin Cyberspace Affairs Commission, Tianjin Industrial and Information Technology Bureau, Secretariat of the WIC Organizing Committee, NetEase (Hangzhou) Network Co., Ltd. and other organizations attended the launching ceremony and launched the event together.

Li Kemin, Director of Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Sports and Secretary of the Party Group, recalled the fruitful results of the first three International Intelligent Sports Conferences in his speech. Ten competitions in five categories, including e-sports, drones, robots, online walking and online chess, attracted over 100 million participants, and more than 300 professional players and enthusiasts from more than 30 countries and regions entered the final stage. The event laid the foundation for the deep integration of AI and sports industry, and played a positive role in promoting the development of national intelligent sports, facilitating the deep integration of the technological culture of the Intelligence Conference, the city culture of charming Tianjin and the e-sports culture of the “sports city”.

Wei Shusong, Second Grade Inspector of Tianjin Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Li Leiming, Senior Product Director at NetEase Games, delivered speeches respectively. Representatives of participating athletes and judges took the oath online.

Star coaches and athletes such as Tong Wen, the Olympic champion, Yu Mengmeng, Wushu champion of National Games, Li Yanan, Tianjin women volleyball player and Wang Baoquan, coach of Tianjin women volleyball also came to the ceremony to send their greetings to the conference and wish the event a great success. The leaders and guests then lit up the event launch button together.

After the opening ceremony, the leaders and guests watched the e-sports “Live Football” network invitational tournament with great interest. The professional e-sports players competed fiercely with passionate on-site professional commentary, fully demonstrating people’s rich and colorful life brought by the achievements of sports intelligence innovation and enriching the connotation of “sports city” and “intelligent sports” as Tianjin’s name card.

The project held at this year’s conference was NetEase eFootball, a high-quality mobile game project of NetEase. 16 professional players from more than 10 provinces and cities across China, including Tianjin, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hangzhou and Nanjing, were invited to participate in the tournament, which lasted for two days. The tournament applies Single-Elimination BO1, where extra time and penalty shootout will be applied when necessary. BO3 mode, best of three will be applied for the third-place match and the championship.

This year’s International Intelligent Sports Conference is an important part of the World Intelligence Congress, with the tournament running from 24 June to 25 June. The eFootball (mobile game project) network invitational tournament has been set up, with 16 professional players invited to participate. Based on the concept of content innovation, quality improvement, the conference aims to serve the production and life of the people with the achievements of sports intelligence innovation.
