Topic 1: OCR Identification Track

Since the 1990s, the wide application of flatbed scanners and the popularity of information automation and office automation in China have contributed significantly to the further development of OCR technology. OCR identification technology is also becoming increasingly important for the application of archive management, and ancient Chinese characters are of enormous research value to modern Chinese characters.

The topic adopts historical texts from a regional archives, mainly including poems and other types of documents surviving from a certain dynasty in Chinese history. The contestants need to identify Chinese characters in the pictures and punctuate them by utilizing OCR identification technology and related algorithms.

Topic 2: Enterprise Security Risk Assessment

At present, road safety issues are becoming increasingly important, for example, speeding, fatigue driving and other phenomena are gradually increasing. In order to better ensure road safety, safety risk assessment will be conducted for enterprises to reduce their problems in road safety. The contestants will analyze and evaluate the enterprise security risks effectively at high speed through the real data provided by the organizer.

Topic 3: Non-directed Track

The contestants will use big data to analyze the quotes in the fields related to smart city, use the data resources given by the organizer and adopt information technology to focus on the construction of smart city, and use “data + creativity” to analyze from dimensions of social and economic benefits and then to design the application models and systems involved in the construction of smart city.

This track focuses on the use of big data analysis and data governance. Using the data from various channels given by the organizer, the contestants will rely on data governance and other related technologies to empower the construction of smart city. Contestants are required to complete the model and system construction around the theme of smart city.
